SPACE TRADER WARS
"Come Trade with Us"
SERVER RULES
The rules are divided into 3 sections:
1. General - General rules for server. Applies to PvP and PvE players
2. PvP - Rules that apply to PvP players.
3. PvE - Rules that apply to PvE players.
GENERAL RULES
1. Please keep language to a minimum. We do have people of all ages that play on this server.
2. Please be respectful of fellow players. Treat them as you would like to be treated.
3. Griefing will not be tolerated. It will lead to a permanent ban from the server.
4. Attacking or damaging any part of a community structure, such as a community center, will lead to a permanent ban.
5. Attacking or damaging any ship or vehicle for sale will lead to a permanent ban.
6. Stealing another players ship or vehicle (whether PvP or PvE) will be considered griefing and lead to an instant ban. Please ask before borrowing another players ship or vehicle.
7. Attacking or damaging any ship / vehicle that is in a community area will be considered griefing. A community area is considered to be a community center or a community space station.
8. Unless you want to loose your creations on a server cleanup (once a week or more often as needed) label your creations as PlayerName_Structure name. If this is not done, it will be considered abandoned and destroyed. This can be done in the info tab of the structure or ship.
9. If you set up a trader station, you have to put "Trader" in the antenna name. Trader areas CAN NOT be used as a safe zone to park and leave ships. Any ship found there for an extended period of time will be fined 500z.
10. Any trader vessel will be considered neutral and therefore have no weapons attached. This means any vessel marked Trader can not be attacked. It will be considered griefing.
11. *WARNING* Build in asteroids at your own risk. We will not be responsible for anything lost due to asteroid reset. This is done once a week on Fridays. We are planning planet resets once a month. More to follow on planets.
12 . Server will restart every day at 4am and 4pm PST.
13. The use of spotlights are allowed. If you leave then on when you log out, they will be ground down until they turn off (hack level) and you will be fined 100z for our services
14. NO offline raiding or attacking will be tolerated. Press F3 to see if the person is online before attacking or raiding.
15. If you are a new player to the server. Please join or create a faction as soon as you can following PvP / PvE rules. Until then, you will be considered PvP.
16. There is no drilling within 3Km meters of any community center. The ice on the lake bed at Earth Alpha CC is considered off limits. We are planning events which will utilize it.
17. Building a base within 5Km of any community center is prohibited. You will be fined 50z / day until it is taken down and moved.
18. To keep economy going, there will be a 10% tax imposed on all players with 1,000z or more every Friday.
19 Do not turn off ship power while connected to a CC. This will turn power off to whole building. Any player that does will be fined 1000z for the utility workers time to turn all of the systems back on.
20. Do not leave ships attached to the connectors on CC after batteries are charged. If this is done, player will be fined 500z for towing fees and their ship will be moved.
Commercial Freighter and Taxi Rules
1. We are implementing a system to allow players to make extra money by providing commercial freighter and taxi services
2. In order to do this, Freighter or Taxi has to be in the ships name.
3. Using an antennae is not required and advised not to use.
4. Any player (PvE or PvP) can attack the freighter or taxi. Even if it is in a PvE faction.
5. Pilots of the Freighter / Taxi and any escort with them may attack before or after they are attacked.
6. There is no penalty for these attacks on either part.
7. This is the only way you can make money carrying goods or passengers. Transporting goods that you have obtained your self (either by crafing or mining) does not need a freighter to move. Moving more than one ship to sell at a time will require Freighter in tag.
8. If a player profits from one of these two methods without properly naming their ship, there will be consequences.
9. This is put in place to add more adventure and fun to the game........ possibly even player pirates.
10. The hope is people will hire factions that specialize in escort services.

PvP RULES
1. Only players that are NOT broadcasting PvE or Trader can be attacked.
2. If a PvE player is attacked, you will be given a warning. If it happens again, it will be considered griefing. We do understand accidents happen. We have a tolerance to this, but very low.
3. Once marked as a PvP faction, there will be a one month cooling off period. You can not switch to PvE for a month.
4. If a member of your faction goes rogue and attacks PvE players, it is up to the faction leader to deal with the situation. This is to be reported to an admin ASAP. If it continues, the player will be banned for griefing.
5. PvE players are allowed to have defenses on their bases and ships. This is for defense only. It does not constitute an attack on you. Therefore, you are not allowed to retaliate. Leave the area.
6. If a PvE player does intentionally attack you, you can fight back. Report the player to an admin so their status can be changed to PvP.
7. If you attack and kill a player in open world (not in vehicle or structure) only attack once. If player is killed multiple times in a row, it will be considered griefing. If the player is close to a structure / vehicle marked as PvE, refer to rule #1.
8. (PvP) must be in faction name.
9. Use P as first initial in faction tag.
10. Ally with all PvE factions. This will show them as white and you will not accidentally shoot them and it will prevent rule #5 and rule #7 from having to be enforced.
PvE RULES
1. All vehicles and structures must be broadcasting with an antenna and have PvE in the name.
2. Faction must have (PvE) in the name.
3. If attacked by a PvP player, please notify and admin ASAP and give players name. If an admin is not online, please leave a message in Discord. Feel free to PM Mouse.
4. You can switch from PvE to PvP at any time. It will be a month before you can switch back to PvE.
5. If a member of your faction goes rogue and attacks another player, report incident immediately. It is the faction leaders responsibility to take care of the situation. If it happens again, the whole faction will be made a PvP faction for one month. It will then be the faction leaders responsibility to switch back to PvE.
6. If a faction or player switches from PvP to PvE before 1 month cooling time is over, they will be switched to PvP for 2 months. If this happens again, the faction leader will be banned.
7. Defensive weapons are allowed on ships / structures. These are for defense only. If used to attack another player / faction intentionally, you will be switched to PvP for a month.
8. Put E as first initial in faction tag. This will mark you as a PvE player.
9. Set accept peace to on. This will allow PvP players to ally with you and keep from accidentally attacking you.
10. If a faction has (PvE) in their name and is not broadcasting PvE, or they have not followed rule #8 and #9 they can be considered PvP by other players.
11. These rules are not meant to be a means to building a massive PvP force or fleet. They are put in place for people who enjoy PvE without having to worry about PvP. You are allowed to start PvE until you get a small base started with one combat ship and up to 4 defenses. After that you must go PvP. If you do after more than that is built, there will be consequences. Please try to keep things fair.
To go PvP:
1. Change first letter of tag to a P.
2. Change faction name to have (PvP) in it.
3. Turn off accept piece if you like.
4. Ally with all other PvE players.
5. Declare war on PvP players if Allied.
